Information from Leonie Markwell: Oliver is listed as an iron worker in the 1881 census and a builder's smith in the 1891 census. He died in 1906 of tuberculosis. He was the son of William Davies born about 1830 in Ilminster in Somerset and Mary Ann born about 1828 in Nailsworth Gloucestershire. William was also an iron worker. William died of tuberculosis at 59 years of age about 1889. Oliver had a brother Frederick H. born about 1856 at Bristol St Paul's. He died at 19 years of age of tuberculosis about 1875. Oliver also had two sisters Clara J born about 1859 at Bristol St Paul's and Mary A. born in 1869 at St Johns Westminster Middlesex. William was widowed and married again between the 1871 and 1881 censuses to Eliza born in Debenham Suffolk about 1824. She was living with Oliver's family as a widow in the 1891 census.
